Verses of Mourning (Baby Sakina A.S)
Baby Sakina (A.S)
Her father is Hussain (A.S)
Her father's chest was her cradle , on which she fell asleep!
Yet, she is far away in Damascus now....
Oh! The wretched dark dungeons of Damascus.....
She is far away from her father, who is in Karbala.....
Her youngest brother is Ali Asghar (A.S)
He was only six months old in Karbala
She wanted to give him water and quench his thirst first!
Her father Hussain (A.S) had taken him to request the enemy for some water;
the enemy quenched his thirst with an arrow to his throat!
How afraid they were of this 6 month old soldier in Karbala.....
Her uncle is Abbas (A.S)
He had requested Hussain (A.S) to let him go for the battle in Karbala
Hussain (A.S) let him go, and he carried with him a small water container given to him by Baby Sakinna (S A)
His arms were severed by the enemies,
He carried it with his mouth, with his teeth holding on to it.....
The enemy had struck him with so many wounds.
There were swords, spears, maces and arrows that had caught all around him
With out hands he had fallen from his horse
His biggest wound was the loss of hope, that water could not reach the ones longing for it.
He called upon his brother Hussain (A.S)
He begged him to not to take him to the tents where the thirsty children along with Baby Sakina called out for water....
The parched throat of children he could not bear!
He died gasping with a wounded heart!
He could not quench Baby Sakina's thirst,
Oh! Baby Sakina (A.S).....
When she cried, the enemies would beat her!
In the dungeons of Damascus, she cried for her father and her loved ones!
Yazeed, could not bear her cries!
Yet, the day came!
After all the beatings and tortures!
She went to sleep to never wake up again.....
The four year daughter of Hussain (A S) was no more!
Her brother Zain Ul Abideen (A S)
built a small grave for her in the dungeons of Damascus!
Oh! How hard was it to bury the tortured child!
Endless days of mourning that verses can not express! Oh! The grief and the sorrow.....
The mourners of Karbala.....
Mourn the loss of the hosehold of Hazrat Muhammad (S.A.W)
